Chicks in the City Workshop/Transition 350 Home & Garden Challenge

Backyard chicken keeping is popular and fun and there are people in the South Bay that are doing it! Come join us and learn what it takes to get started. Mike Garcia of Enviroscape LA will give us a tour of the Garcia flock and talk to us about the basics — housing, feeding, caring and the benefits of hen raising. Chickens not only make great pets, but chicken keeping builds local food resilience in our neighborhoods and lessen our dependence on fossil fuels.
