Enviroscape founder Mike Garcia began his career in the horticultural field more than 25 years ago. After earning his college degree in Ornamental Horticulture, he earned his C-27 Landscape Contractors License, as well as his D-49 arborist Tree Service Contractors License. Under his leadership, Enviroscape has won numerous landscape and water feature awards at the local, state, national and international levels. Some of these include awards from the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) as well as the National Association of Pond Professionals (Napp) and the International Professional Pond Contractors Association (IPPCA). His work has been featured in numerous magazines, including The California Landscaper Magazine, Pond-keeper Magazine, Water Garden News, The National Landscape Contractors Magazine and South Bay Homes and Gardens. His work has appeared on HGTV’s “Landscapers Challenge” and ABC’s Extreme Makeover, Home Edition. Mike is a past president of the CLCA and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors. Mike serves on the Board of Directors for the Manhattan Beach Botanical Gardens and is a founding member. Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Landscape Alliance (ILA) as Chief Communications Officer (CCO). Mike held on to his CAC status (from Aquascape) until the year he earned his Certified Professional Pond Contractor certification IPPCA, which means he is certified at the international level of pond world. Mike also holds a NAPP certification in pond building, which qualifies him at the national level. His most notable pond can be found inside the California Science Museum in downtown Los Angeles. Last year, his company earned 5 first place finishes at the prestigious CLCA pond competition, held in Los Angeles, California. On occasion, Mike flies to Sacramento to assist the Contractors State License Board revise and update the written tests given for C-27 licensing.
Louie Gamino Project Manager
Louie Gamino began his career in landscaping at an early age, he was cutting lawns with his dad at 10 years of age. At 16 he began working with “uncle Mike” Garcia. upon graduation from Redondo Union High School, Louie graduated from El Camino College where he graduated at the top of his class in the field of Enviromental Ornamental Horticulture. Upon graduation , Louie began working with Enviroscape full time. He then achieved the position as a Certified Arborist, with the ISA organization. Louie is one of the West Coast’s premier pond builders . He is married and they have 2 rotweiller’s named “Sally” and Sots”.
