Pond gives RUHS students hands-on opportunity

Ponds are newsworthy because they provide opportunities for students to learn. Enviroscape LA built this pond at the Redondo Union High School in 2016.  Kudos to Redondo Union High School (RUHS) for partnering with Enviroscape LA to create a pond for the science department.  This will be a state of the art facility used for science classes and tied into aquaponic vertical gardens and rainwater harvesting. This  Sustainability project is tying in Aquaponics with a vertical garden to grow food with water that recycles.  Vertical aquaponics can save 95% water over a traditional soil garden. This cutting edge facilities will teach students about the food cycle and biology.
